Trip to South Dakota
On Memorial day weekend, we traveled to South Dakota. We had long drive all the way from Kansas to SD. If you want to plan trip to South Dakota, then here are some tips for your stay and places to visit.
First thing you need to plan what you wanted to see. I shortlisted following places which are most visited and must see. My wife and I had visited Zoo and aquarium so did not visit any of it. You can try that out if you have time. At least 4 days would be required to visit all these places. We covered following places in 3 days.
Day 1

We reached Sioux Falls earlier night so visited Sioux Falls Park early morning. But still there were many visitors considering it was weekend. Must visit place. Click here to check out Sioux Falls Park hours, address and photos
After spending about 4 hours in Sioux Falls Park we drove to Mount Rushmore National memorial. It was about 4PM we reached there. Place is famous for sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore. Click here to check out Mount Rushmore National memorial hours, address and photos.
Day 2

It's about 40 mins drive from Rapid City to Custer state park. One day is enough to see all attractions in Custer state park. If you want to spend another day then also there are many drive through points. Click here to check out Custer state park hours, address and photos.
Day 3
Badland National Park : Click to check out more details of Badlands national park.
There are 2 entrance for Badlands National park. We chose to drive from South entrance White River Visitor Center through towards Ben Reifel Visitor Center. It took 5 hours to cover all the scenic points and attractions. Click here to check out Badlands national park hours, address and photos.Trip ended with Badlands NP and we travelled back to Kansas.
